Welcome!

About Me

I am an analyst with about ~5 years of experience in providing data-driven solutions and solving end-to-end business problems.

Coming from a strong technical background with a master's in Information Systems and a bachelor's in Computer Science, I enjoy bringing the added value of analytical thinking that bridges the gap between technical and business sides in different areas of the organization.

My Story so far

My interest in technology and engineering started at the University of Mumbai, where I graduated in 2016 with a major in Computer Science. It was there under the guidance of many great faculty, that I became interested in data analytics and machine learning. Since then, my quest to become a data analyst spanned multiple continents, having picked up various roles in India, Netherlands, Portugal, Australia and the UK, I finally came to the US in order to pursue a Masters degree in Information Systems from the University of Maryland.

Since starting my Master's Degree, I have taken on multiple analyst roles in the US, working on research projects and online products until I got a full time job at Clara Analytics - a start up offering predictive analytics to mitigate claim costs in the Workers Compendation domain.

At Clara, I led customer onboarding and analytics for multinational clients and was incharge of coordinating with cross-functional teams to set up ETL processes, manage the date pipelines, run scoring models and populate the application. I also set up the analytics architecture for the customer facing team and worked on various automation projects.

It is here, that I found my niche - which is being in the intersection of business and technology while interacting with customers and internal teams alike and I've continued to grow in that role ever since!

Personal Background

I'm originally from Mumbai, India and consider myself a true CA native even though I wasn't born there. I have a range of hobbies, including, but not limited to: Basketball, gymming (weight lifting), adventure sports (hiking, skiing, mountain climbing), reading, traveling and motorbiking.

Technical/Soft Skills

As an Analyst, I consider myself an expert in Python, R, SQL, Tableau & Excel and am able to work with Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Pytorch and more. I am familiar with big data coding (Scala, Hadoop, Mapreduce) & storage (AWS, GCP, Snowlfake) technologies while also being familiar with languages like Javascript, HTML, CSS, C/C++, Matlab and MongoDB. I have experience with Django, Pelican frameworks. I like building stuff with Arduino, and Raspberry Pi and have a special brand of electronics that combines tradional electronics with origami (paper folding).

Everything on this site reflects my personal views only. It'll generally range from Data journeys/projects, to photo blogs, to travel blogs (for my own benefit of keeping track of places).
